Khondabi said that she married Joey Scribner Howard, her sweetheart from high school who works as a mechanical engineer in the energy utility industry. Howard relocated to Irmo and graduated in Dutch Fork High School but he and Khondabi remained friends and then started dating. Joey has a USC degree. They have one fur baby the dog Liam. Khondabi stated that she as well as Joey are both foodies. One among her favourite foods she has eaten from home is onion rings at The Dixie Drive-In. Khondabi has written that she's a curious individual. When I was in elementary school I was a journalist who conducted interviews with educators on our school's news show. I also was the anchor for the school's daily news headlines. At (then) Oakland Elementary our newscast was titled WOAK. Khondabi revealed that after graduating from university, her first job was as a reporter on television working for WAGT. Khondabi told me she was on the news for about six years. In the months following Augusta I worked as a morning anchor at WOWK in Charleston West Virginia at WOWK and finally Columbus Ohio as a traffic anchor and morning news host on The regional ABC and FOX affiliates.
